As part of our interview series this summer we talk to founders, staff members, guest speakers and mentors. We’re starting off the series with our two RED Labs interns, Travis Arnold and Laura Mahaney.
Travis Arnold is a MBA graduate from UH with a certificate in entrepreneurship and is part of the RED Labs summer accelerator intern team.
As an alumnus of the program, I understand the positive effect that RED Labs can have for founders. I think it’s a really good thing, and I want to help spread the word.
Productive, innovative & awesome.
My work experience background is very broad – everything from environmental science to hardware sales to firebreathing.
Someday, I hope to be involved with venture capital. I think that venture capital helps out a lot of people with good ideas.
Telekinesis, because things are heavy.
Laura Mahaney is a Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship student and is the RED Labs Marketing intern for the 2015 summer accelerator.
I am really inspired by the work that RED Labs does and I want to contribute in any way that I can.
Invigorating, eventful, and transformative.
Apart from my involvement with the Wolff Center, I’m an actress. I’m originally from Austin, and I enjoy thrift-store shopping and rock-climbing.
I see myself becoming a serial entrepreneur. Some of the businesses that interest me the most include microfinance as well as arts and dance studios that cater to at-risk inner-city teens.
Teleportation, so I could be more productive!
